About the event
Miwuk Basket Weavers and their family members in partnership with Mariposa County Creative Placemaking Team will be constructing a basket weaving demonstration and installation along the Mariposa Creek Parkway. This is an opportunity for tribal members to learn, practice and preserve the Miwuk traditions. This will be short term display of Basketry to educate the community of the historical and contemporary Miwuk culture.
